The public presentation of the results of the Evaluation of the Contribution of Portugal 2020 to the Digitalisation of Education

About the event

The public presentation of the results of the Evaluation of the Contribution of Portugal 2020 to the Digitalisation of Education will take place on October 17th, at 2.30 p.m., at the auditorium of the Sebastião e Silva Secondary School, in Oeiras. The organisation of the public, face-to-face event is the result of a partnership between PESSOAS 2030 and EY-Parthenon, the company responsible for the evaluation.

This evaluation, carried out by POCH – Human Capital Operational Program and conducted by EY-Parthenon, concluded that the Digital School measures, supported by POCH and the Portugal 2020 Regional Operational Programmes, with investment from the European Social Fund, have contributed to reducing inequality in accessing computer equipment and the internet, enabled greater equity in accessing education among students with different educational needs and economic resources. These and other conclusions will be addressed and discussed during the event, which will include a round table discussion.

The debate, moderated by Isabel Leiria, an Expresso journalist specialised in education, will be attended by the CES representatives on the Evaluation Monitoring Group, Luís Manuel Lobo (FENPROF) and Elsa Picão (CIP); Nuno Rodrigues – Director-General of DGEEC; Maria João Horta – Deputy Director-General of the DGE and Paulo Almeida – Director of the Agrupamento de Escolas Fernando Casimiro Pereira da Silva, in Rio Maior.

The event will be concluded at 5 p.m. by the Minister of Education, João Costa.

The presentation of the results of the Evaluation of the Contribution of Portugal 2020 to the Digitalisation of Education is a face-to-face event, open to the general public but with a limited number of seats available.
