The Managing Authority of the FAMI 2030 Programme has launched 3 calls for tenders for ‘Reception of spontaneous applicants for international protection”, ‘Local Support Centres for the Integration of Migrants‘ and ‘Intercultural education in schools‘ totalling € 5,375,000.
These calls for tenders fall under the specific objectives Asylum (SO1) and Legal migration and integration (SO2), specifically:
- CALL FAMI2030-2023-3 | Reception of spontaneous applicants for international protection, with a budget of M€ 1.5, is aimed at civil society organisations or local authorities.
As part of the Programme’s SE1 – Asylum, it aims to support the management of the Portuguese asylum and reception system by maintaining and improving the infrastructure and services provided in reception centres and other facilities that serve the purpose of accommodating spontaneous applicants for international protection, including unaccompanied children and teenagers.
- CALL FAMI2030-2023-4 | Local Support Centres for the Integration of Migrants (CLAIM), with a budget of € 3,250,000, is aimed at civil society organisations.
It aims to support local service units that provide general counselling and assistance to third-country nationals in areas such as housing, subsistence, psychology, health, legal advice, among other everyday issues, providing personalised service to third-country nationals. The support is tailored to third-country nationals and can be provided through fixed or itinerant services, following the integrated service model implemented by the competent authority – the Agency for Integration, Migration, and Asylum, thus contributing to the Programme’s SO 2 – Legal migration and integration.
- CALL FAMI2030-2023-5 | Intercultural education in schools, with a budget of € 625,000, is aimed at institutions in the educational system, including school groups, as well as local authorities, intermunicipal communities, and/or metropolitan areas.
Also contributing to the Programme’s SO 2 – Legal migration and integration, it aims to support educational communities in preventing/reducing early school dropout and academic failure among children and young people from third-countries through intercultural education in schools, seen as an opportunity and source of learning.
The period for submitting applications begins on the day following publication (tomorrow) 31/10/2023 and runs until 30/11/2023, except for CALL FAMI2030-2023-5, which runs until 29/12/2023.
