Viana do Castelo, from 14 to 16 December, is hosting the PNAID 2023 MEETINGS of the National Programme to Support Investment in the Diaspora, where sessions will be held to clarify, with the participation of management authorities, the support and incentives of Portugal 2030.
The AD&C – Development and Cohesion Agency is taking part in these meetings, represented by its President, Cláudia Joaquim, who will be speaking on the ‘Briefing on Portugal 2030 and Local Entrepreneurship’ Panel on 14 December at 04:30pm.
The 2023 PROGRAMME has as its main topic the ‘Blue Economy, renewable energies and sustainability‘ as well as ‘Culture, heritage and science‘ with the aim of promoting investment, boosting exports and supporting the internationalisation of local businesses through the entrepreneurial potential of Portuguese communities.
It will also be a time to find out about the policies, programmes, priorities and investment opportunities in Portugal, with a focus on the enhancement of low-density territories, through information sessions on support and incentives:
- Portugal 2030 and Local Entrepreneurship (Norte 2030)
- Companies and Digital Transition: Compete2030 and RRP
- Agriculture and Sea: PEPAC2030 and Mar 2030
- Tourism Agenda, especially for inland areas
Among many others, the State Secretary for Communities and the State Secretary for Regional Development will be present, as coordinators of the PNAID – National Programme to Support Investment in the Diaspora.
The PNAID is a government initiative to enhance Portuguese communities that promotes investment from the diaspora, especially in the inland areas of the country, as well as exports and the internationalisation of national companies through the diaspora, highlighting the objective of territorial cohesion, along with Portugal’s demographic challenge and economic development.
The PNAID Meetings aim to provide a space for dialogue, networking and creating essential contacts for creating successful synergies between diaspora entrepreneurs, institutions and national entrepreneurs. Their purpose is to provide information on key areas of the country’s public policies to Portuguese entrepreneurs abroad interested in investing in Portugal.
For three days, investment opportunities in various sectors will be discussed, with a particular focus on the blue economy, renewable energies and sustainability. An opportunity to find out about policies, programmes, priorities and investment opportunities in Portugal.
In addition to the conference panels, there will be themed workshops and round tables where participants can discuss investment strategies, share knowledge and establish business partnerships.
Companies will have the chance to connect with investors, creating an environment conducive to the development of concrete opportunities to strengthen the economy by attracting investment and internationalising business.
